What I Got Upto | May Monthly Round up

Hello, hello! I can hardly believe its June already.

I hope you’ve had a fabulous month of May! Here’s what I’ve been up to this month besides work.

First up, it was my birthday on the 10th and I turned the grand old age of 27. That creeped up on me.. I guess I really am an adult now.. right? I also took 10 days off work over my birthday for a little R&R.

I managed to squeeze in two gigs and had the BEST time seeing both Deftones and CKY. Two more bands ticked off my “to see” list.

We stayed overnight in Glasgow after Deftones and had a great day out with friends having lunch at Topolabamba (good food, waiter messed the drinks up and brought us another tables, and I literally had to flag a waitress down to ask if we could place our order or we would have starved to death, but the food was nice) and then a night out at The Cathouse after the gig before I had to head back to Edinburgh early the next morning for a meeting.

I also had a few cinema trips where we got to see Guardians of the Galaxy, which obviously I loved, Alien Covenant which… I’m not even going to give the time of day, King Arthur – probably my favourite from this month actually! (Charlie Hunnam with his top of, whats not to love) and lastly POTC: Salazars Revenge. Meh.. just… meh. Didn’t enjoy the overly CGI’d Salazar and I think Johnny Depp’s basically got stuck not knowing if he’s Jack Sparrow or The Mad Hatter, otherwise, it was alright, nothing exciting.

AJ and I bought some new vinyl’s to add to our collection (I chose American Idiot by Greenday and also the Dirt album from Alice In Chains (my two favourite bands btw) and he picked up an Explosions in the Sky album (I’m ashamed to say I’m not familiar with them)

I got to catch up with one of my oldest friends who I’ve not seen in over a year and have an amazing lunch at The Refinery at St Andrews Square.

AJ and I even walked to Fort Kinneard and took in some of the amazing scenery our city has to offer. (It was roasting and I complained the entire journey about how hot I was) But we got to try out Five Guys. (Sadly I would have rather had a macdonalds)

Lastly, I made this lovely new blog! Why might you ask when I have a perfectly fine working one as it is? Well, I realised my content was a little all over the place, I’m turning  The Lady Fett blog into a more personal account, really thats what it was intended more for in the first place where as i can focus more beauty and fashion wise on this one.

I’d love to here what everyone else got up to this month (I know, I’m so nosy)

Until next time

E x
